Rise and Bake is a place where you will find my adventures in bread making. Much like beer making, the process of making involves grain, yeast, and heat. Together, these elements transform into something that can be incredibly delicious and complex.
My favorite breads are Pain a L’ancienne, with four ingredients (flour, water, salt, and yeast), and Pain au Levain with only three (flour, water and salt). These loaves start form simple ingredients yet the process yields a depth of flavor that is hard to describe.
Bread making is a creative outlet that is easy and fun. I invite you to try some of these recipes, and share your bread with someone you love.
